Professional / Internet

I have been doing Web development and other sorts of Internet-related programming and application design for many years now.

Training, Conferences, and Articles

Over the years, I have been fairly active in the ColdFusion developer community. I started out giving advice online as a member of Team Macromedia (though I am no longer a member), and from there began speaking at some conferences and the like.

  • Training - Most recently, I taught the ColdFusion MX Intensive training class at NYC's Noble Desktop. I was lucky to have a really nice group of students; we had a good time.
  • Conferences - I was a presenter at the Macromedia DevCon conferences that were held at Walt Disney World in 2001 and 2002. The topics were Locking and Advanced XML, respectively. I also presented at the SCCFUG conference in Southern California in February, 2004; the topic was ColdFusion/Java Integration. At the Spring, 2004 SEOMUG conference (Athens, OH), I gave talks on Experiments with Grids and Queries, and Really Understanding XML.
  • CFUG meetings - I have presented at ColdFusion User Group meetings in New York, Los Angeles, and New Jersey. I'm a cheap date (read: plane fare) so just ask.
  • Articles - I wrote the XML and XSLT in ColdFusion MX article at Macromedia's ColdFusion Developer Center. The information is still current as of CFMX 6.1.
